The Flats at Front + Union

We stayed at the flats on front for restaurant week and totally enjoyed our stay. It was so convenient to be able to walk to all of our restaurants. The flat was clean, the kitchen was stocked well and the bed was so comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again, it’s so much better than staying in a hotel!

This is the second time my husband and I have traveled to Traverse City and stayed at The Flats. We have had the most wonderful experiences both time. They flats are lovely, spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. They have all the amenities and such cozy sheets, blankets and towels. The location is perfect, close to everything and pleasant walking on the streets downtown. It has great views through the large windows. The building was restored with such detail and care. It’s so charming - we will definitely be back again and again!

We stayed in Flat 304 while in TC to celebrate our anniversary. We were blown away with the attention to detail, cleanliness, spaciousness, and location! We had a beautiful view of Front street and we were able to walk to all of our shops, bars and restaurants. The flat had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and the decor was bright and cheerful. Check-in and check-out were seamless and the hosts were very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back! One last note… the bed and bedding (including the towels) were incredibly soft. So soft, that I immediately went downstairs to the store that makes them to purchase!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We rented both a 2-bedroom and a 3-bedroom at The Flats at Front and Union for a girls’ trip (8 of us total, but honestly we could’ve easily slept 10!). The two places were right next to each other, which was super convenient. The location could not have been better - we were close to everything in downtown Traverse City. Both flats were spotless and completely stocked with everything we could possibly need. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfy-everyone slept so well! Communication and interaction with the owners were fantastic; they were friendly, responsive, and made everything so easy. We had such an amazing stay and will 100% check here first before booking anywhere else in Traverse City. Highly recommend!

Very nice place downtown Traverse City in a convenient location next to stores and restaurants. Very clean & spacious for 2 people. We were in the 1 bedroom / 1 bath Unit 304. The double windows kept street noise low. The linens from the store downstairs were super nice. Bed was very comfortable. Amply stocked items in the kitchen. Temperature/AC control worked well. Easy to check in and inquires were replied within 10 min via text.

Perfect location, made better with one assigned parking spot included. Very comfortable and let us have an intimate family dinner in the middle of our vacation, which is a nice change of pace from the restaurants (though the area restaurants are amazing). When we had questions, they were very quick, friendly, and helpful. Elevators helped for older guests who are taking stairs less often. We come up frequently and will definitely be staying here again if we can.

We loved our stay at this flat! It was beautifully designed with a historic charm, yet simple and welcoming at the same time. The location could not have been more perfect—just steps from great food, shops, and the beach. Traveling with a toddler who doesn’t love the car seat was so much easier because everything we needed was within walking distance. The flat itself was spotless, cozy, and had just the right amount of space and privacy for our family. The beds and linens were very comfortable, and I really appreciated that the space wasn’t cluttered with knickknacks—our toddler couldn’t get into anything, which made the stay stress-free. This flat had a luxury feel. We felt right at home here and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend!

Our group of three absolutely LOVED our experience of staying at The Flats at Front & Union. The space is light, bright, quiet and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy. We parked our car and never moved it again. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the bay, walking trails etc. The communication was excellent and very responsive for any questions. We can’t wait to come back again!
